H. devriesii仅在Prince Albert的东边被发现。 它的花灰色，球状，让人联想到H. pehlemanniae，H. globosiflora，H. nortierii以及其他和H. agnis有关的植物。

Haworthia devriesii is only known from the area north of Prince Albert. Theglobose greyish flowers are reminiscent of Haworthia pehlemanniae, Haworthia globosiflora andHaworthia nortierii and the plants are probably also related to Haworthia agnis. All these speciesbelong to the same group although there are significant differences in theleaves of the plants. The leaves of Haworthia devriesii are succulent andtheir shape is somewhat similar to that of Haworthia nortieri and Haworthiaglobosiflora. The latter two species are seperated from Haworthia devriesii by 200 km and more, while Haworthia pehlemanniaelooks more like H arachnoidea and is found some 110 km to the west of Haworthia devriesii in thevicinity of Laingsburg. H devriesii is a unique find and only known from twolocalities at this stage. At both of these the plants are comparativelyrare. This species is difficult to find in habitat as the leaf markingsand color of the leaves mimic their surroundings. At the type locality theplants grow in very sandy soil, under bushes, but also in the open. When in theopen, the plants are occasionally almost completely buried in the sand and onlyvisible when in flower. The flowering time is in September andOctober. The habitat photographs were taken with an old Mavica camerawith low resolution.
