Arachnoidea种群十分复杂，关于它争议一直不断，如何将所有相关的植物放入一个单一的品种中。
尽管这些争议常常是有效的，但它们可能会带来混乱，植物的品种得不到很好的区分。比如H. decipiens和H. jansenvillensis。 原文如下: Haworthia lanosa is a member of the widespread and variableArachnoidea aggregate. This species grows on white enon conglomerate in thevicinity of Vergelegen. The plants are hairy and somewhat similar to Haworthiaaranea or Haworthia candida but are generally larger and grow on the northernface of a hillside whereas the smaller Haworthia aranea usually prefers thecooler southern aspect. The aggregate Arachnoidea is complex and arguments vanbe made to just lump all the related plants under a single species.Althoughthese arguments are often valid, it is likely to cause great confusion whereplants link into other species e.g. Haworthia decipiens and Haworthiajansenvillensis.
